North Market and Nationwide Arena
This was actually my first visit to North Market, so that was kind of fun. It was also fun to sit above everyone and draw people from an overhead angle. It was tough, though, and after three or so pages these were the only images I felt were good enough to post.
I've been to Nationwide Arena in the past so I wasn't quite that excited about it. Neither were the people coming to see the Blue Jackets game. Got some good sitting around poses there.

Musicians Assignment
I went back to using pen on these since pencil makes me too fussy about details. I also have to confess that I cheated a bit. Instead of drawing straight from the videos, I captured stills and drew from those.
My first page is of Paco de Lucia playing Flamenco guitar. Since I'm half Spanish I felt sort of nostalgic watching this and listening to him play, and I liked those close up shots on his hands. I'm not sure what year this video is from, but the hairstyles and clothing make me think somewhere in the 60's or 70's.
The next one is Reg Kehoe & His Marimba Queens. The whole thing made me smile, especially the crazy bass player, but he was just too fast for my pen to accurately capture his wild movements. The funniest part is that I couldn't hear anything he was trying to play the whole time.
And finally we have the present era with Neko Case. I enjoyed being able to draw a female guitar player, but I don't like that bottom center image of her singing into the microphone. It looks more like she's eating it.

In Class Sketches
It's funny, I spent a lot of time drawing guitars and such for a rock band comic story last year, but they're still not any easier to do. Hands are still tough, too, even when they're cartoony!

Library Sketches
I did these drawings in the children's area of the Columbus Metropolitan Library last week. Hope it's not too late to post!
