Apparently Monday afternoons are really slow at Borders, because there were hardly any people around when I went there. On the other hand, I didn't have a whole lot of time to stay there and wait for people to show up, either. This was the best I could get.

ReplyDeleteGood work again. You definitely can capture the gesture of a figure well. I like how we see faces, hands and feet. Please keep this up.
Continue to place the subject in some surrounding... even generalize a farther background plane - plates of frames glass of a storefront or the silhouette of a chair back behind the figure.
Work furniture in lightly, then give it a bolder line... sometimes your line gets a little overworked trying to establish the structural elements. I like the activity but it can distract from the wonderful character you've created with your subjects.
